Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) refers to a business practice that involves participating in initiatives that benefit society.  As consumers’ awareness about global social issues continues to grow, so does the importance these customers place on CSR when patronizing business products and services.

Taking socially responsible initiatives with the business is truly a win-win situation. Not only the company appeal to increasingly socially conscious consumers and employees, but it will also make a real difference in the world.  In CSR, transparency and honesty about what the company is doing are paramount to earning the public’s trust.

CSR can encompass a wide variety of tactics, from giving non-profit organizations a portion of a company’s profits, to giving away products of service to a worthy recipient.

In the case of  Wellex Industries, which suffers losses for several years now, it extended a helping hand in social and civic activities within the community where it operates instead of monetary donations.  On the other hand, it wishes to donate financially to its chosen charities if its financial conditions becomes stable.

CSR Activity for 2021

Wellex Industries, Inc., together with its affiliate companies, Forum Pacific, Inc. and Metro Alliance Holdings & Equities Corp. (the Group), visited again the community of ICC Phils. Foundation in Floridablanca, Pampanga last November 26, 2021. Due to continuing COVID-19 Pandemic, the activity was carefully done following the health protocol of the government. The Group helped 100 children and their families.

CSR Activity for 2022

Wellex Industries, Inc., together with its affiliate, Metro Alliance Holdings & Equities Corp., donated cash to the City Government of Valenzuela for the fire victims last April 2022. The cash donation was personally handed over by representative directors of the companies to CSWDO Head Dorothy Evangelista and Mayor Rex Gatchalian.
